Guest guest
I am writing to you looking for career opportunities, in an effort to start the networking process early. I have 8 years experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders and I am almost finished with law school. My dream career will allow me to combine law and applied behavior analysis in the treatment and advocacy for children with autism spectrum disorder. I plan to take the bar exam in July 2010, and the BCBA exam in August 2010. I have experience in applied behavior analysis, non-profit management, fundraising, and legal work. If you know of any career opportunities, please let me know. Feel free to e-mail me OFF-LIST! I have included my background below. Flake, BCABA, has worked with children with autism spectrum disorders using the principles of applied behavior analysis/verbal behavior since October 2001. During that time she has had the opportunity to start a non-profit organization related to autism, work at a year-round school for children with autism spectrum disorders in Columbus, OH (May 2005-October 2005) and work at Dr. Carbone's clinic in Valley Cottage, NY (October 2005-May 2006). In May, 2005, Ms. Flake graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in elementary and special education. She is a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst, completing coursework through University of North Texas. In May 2008, Ms. Flake started law school full-time and expects to graduate in May 2010. While finishing law school, Ms. Flake is finishing the coursework and supervision to be eligible to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. (BCBA) She plans to take the bar exam in July 2010, and the BCBA exam in August 2010.
