Guest guest
Leah, ((((HUGS))))) we are also having huge issues with nathan and his wieght, so far he has gained 9lbs this year, (his year for weight go from oct to oct) and continues to insist he is hungry and thirsty. We are looking into seeing an endocronologist for him, as his fasting blood sugars are just below the line of what his ped considers diabetic (type 2 ofcourse). Weighing in at 83#. And ours isnt the type of food either, he gets lowfat, diet pop, yogurt or lite icecream etc, Im going to a little seminar at AEA about autism, maybe will get to discuss fineke eating behaviors--- is very particular about what foods he eats too, usually sticking to mushy textures and/or red items. loves bread and oatmeal yogurts puddings, and ofcaourse pop, and pizza, chilly, and and next to PB and J, its grilled cheese sandwhich at the top of the list. Nahtan is getting better about chewing and trying the vegies and meats i put on his plate, the doc thinks its the luvox hleping breakdown that barrier. I dont use antipsychotics on nathan, tooo many long term horrible side effects, but for some they are all that work, only you know what may work for ashton. I know this is a stupid question but Have they done labs, to check her thyroid and glucose levels? I will get back to you if we find anything hlepful in this area. shawna. molindone(moban) antipsychotics hey group, i know i haven't been as involved as my past allowed....but rest assured that i think of everyone often and say one big daily prayer for the whole lot of ya'll..... we are hanging in there... big happenings.. issues with cameron, his father....life in general......grrrrrrr but my question is, has anyone ever used the antipsychotic drug molindone aka moban.....SUPPOSED to not cause the weight gain of seroquel and risperadol....took ashton to the doctor and she is skyrocketing in pounds...she si soon going to be on the junior sumo olympic team.....she is up to 112.....that is 34 pd weight gainin one year..... i can't keep doing this to her...she is going to be so unhealthy and it's not what she eats it's how much and her obcessions withonly a few foods..... if you have tried this drug please let me know....thanks leah scorpioleah@... email i read the most...ehehhe take care, love hugs and warm thoughts to all........ leah mom to ashton 10-ds-pdd-lots of medical issues and cameron 6 aspergers, ocd.....maybe childhood bipolar....... _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp.
