Guest guest
Yes, I have been in contact with Amy Dellano, the districts parent memntor as well as Lyke from OCECE. Amy Dellano was actually the person I brought along with me to the IEP meeting this time, sorry if she is truly not an advocate. I have been in contact with her via email and actually saw her at the school building when I initially went to speak to them about these issues. She said she would but in a call to the district rep about what was going on but I didnt hear back from her on friday. I also forwarded the email from the director of student services/ special education but havent heard back from her yet regarding it. lee > > Hi , > I've got a quick question for you - I know that Brunswick has a parent mentor program for the school district. Has either one of the parent mentors been any help to you in advocating for your son's needs. > > Also, you mentioned that you took an advocate with you to the last IEP meeting. By any chance did you take someone from the Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities (OCECE) or from a different agency. The contact for your area for OCECD is Lyke. > > I'm just checking on a few things before I answer some of your questions. > > Take care, > Vickie Fetsko, Medina >
