I am going to the middle/high school open house tomorrow. What do you mean by they do not take children with autism as primary dx? My son has Aspergers, ADHD and dyslexia on his MFE, with all acknowledged on his IEP. But Austism is listed first. Can you help me with your info from open house.

I did go to Lawrence about 4 years ago which would have been the elementary, and they only took children that were remedial. I have heard that this has changed. It seemed to be a good school at that time, and I can only imagine how their class size and structure may have helped my son (now in 7th grade in a PEP school). We are again looking at this as an option for him, and I was told to come to the open house because of his additional dx.

Carol, would you mind posting about your experience from the open house for Lawrence's HS?  My son is at Billiart and even though he is only in 1st grade, I want to know our options after 8th grade.  (sorry, didn't mean to start another topic in the original post).
