We are still looking for some preschoolers for the Milestones School Training on August 9-13th. Can you think of anyone you know who might be interested? (Scholarships are available.)

PLEASE SHARE . . . Dear Parents: Milestones Autism Organization invites you to apply for your child to participate in its upcoming 5-day Intervention Program as part of its School Team Training: "Effective Behavioral Interventions for the Classroom."

Students are invited to participate Monday, August 9th - Friday August 13th, 2010, from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. The workshop will take place in Beachwood at one of its school buildings. Prior to the program, students are invited to meet the teachers and visit the classroom. This program is $250.00 per child. Scholarships are available. Price includes:

Individual program created from student's IEP 1:1 Discrete Trial TrainingGroup music/art activities Group large motor activities Activities with typical peers (Transportation must be provided by parents.) The workshop faculty are experienced working in a public school setting and have been trained in utilizing techniques for students with autism, including: ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication-handicapped Children), and PECS (Picture Exchange Cards). The participants in the Teacher Training Workshop are elementary, middle school, and high school educators. Your child is invited to participate in the classroom of students with autism, which will be set-up during the weeklong workshop. This student classroom will allow educators to observe ABA instructors working with the students, and then have the opportunity themselves to use
