Guest guest
If it's DiMizzio, he is awesome and really knows his stuff. The problem is the therapeutic martial arts would have to be in the child's IEP to be covered by asp and I'm pretty sure there would be a fight with most school districts. Guest guest
I'm fairly certain somebody wrote about this recently on another group and said that they contacted down at the ODE, and that this person is not a provider AND that martial arts would not be something they would cover. > > From: Meghan <meghananderson_aba@...> > Subject: [ ] Re: Anyone heard of ASD Educational Systems? - Big Ad in Post Newspa > " " < > > Date: Saturday, September 18, 2010, 11:18 AM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > If it's DiMizzio, he is awesome and really knows his stuff. Guest guest
Hello everyone! I believe I know the school that everyone is referring to. I rarely post anything so a little background on my son for those who are not familiar with him. is 7 is and was diagnosed with autism before his 2nd birthday. He has high-functioning autism. We began using the autism scholarship when was 3 1/2. I was very reluctant to take him off the scholarship; there just wasn't any good fit for him for kindergarten. We live in Parma so I was not going to have him attend Parma City Schools. He and his sister are attending Parma Community School. had a full-time aide and all the support he could possibly need. Parma Community School is a charter school that is run by Constellation Schools, LLC. So far, so good. Constellation Schools began advertising last spring for a new school that they were opening for children with Asperger's & HFA. The new school is called Academy for Creative Learners and is located in Slavic Village at East 71st. Constellation Schools management office number is (440)845-4200 which is located in Parma. Moreover, Vinarcik is the person I spoke to about the school in the spring. They are not affiliated with Summit Academy. Please note that this is a public school and you would have to "give up" the scholarship for your child to attend there. I hope this was helpful! - From: LL <laura6307@...>Subject: [ ] Re: Anyone heard of ASD Educational Systems? - Big Ad in Post Newspa Date: Sunday, September 19, 2010, 8:57 AM I'm fairly certain somebody wrote about this recently on another group and said that they contacted down at the ODE, and that this person is not a provider AND that martial arts would not be something they would cover.> > From: Meghan <meghananderson_aba@...>> Subject: [ ] Re: Anyone heard of ASD Educational Systems? - Big Ad in Post Newspa> " " < >> Date: Saturday, September 18, 2010, 11:18 AM> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > If it's DiMizzio, he is awesome and really knows his stuff.
