Hi Dorsey

Toots that's going to be a tough question decision for you to make. Quest is the name of the for profit diagnostic lab co. pushing hard advertising to Dr's and online offering the Heptimax lab test that is suppose to be a little more accurate to test for viral load it can find pick-up <5 instead of <50. Taqman I believe was the name of the last viral load lab test before that to hit the public market to check for <50.

All viral load lab test is not a 100% accurate test nothing is used as a diagnostic tool lab test. Pt's still needing repeat viral load lab tests for follow-up remaining a responder to tx.

No HCV viral load test just like no test for remaining cancer cells after chemo tx is 100% accurate can not find all cells some buried too deep within the body.

If it was me and it was I would be asking myself.

What are my benefits to having this lab test done ????

Will it give me greater peace of mind relieve any anxiety stress etc... ????

It is very expensive. What are my financial out-of-pocket costs to me and can I afford it ????

Honey thank you so much for sharing asking informing us all on this latest HCV viral load test to hit the market now with our Dr's offering it.

All The Best To You and Everyone.
