Please help by buying raffle tickets. Thank you, Laurie CLEVELAND - Brush High School teachers, students and volunteers are organizing a special fundraiser in honor of former history teacher, Marci Kornblut. Kornblut was a victim of domestic violence. She was killed by her husband, Joe Gorospe, in October 2006. Her family and friends said they saw signs of trouble in the couple’s marriage, but never imagined that it would end with her death. For the past four years, the community and Brush High School staff have gathered in Kornblut's name to raise money for daughter’s, Ali and Catie. With their mother dead and their father in jail, Kornblut's elderly parents are raising the girls, who are both autistic. The challenges are sometimes overwhelming and they need help going forward to get the girls the best education. That’s money the family just doesn't have. Kornblut’s loved ones are worried her memory is going to start to fade as time goes on as her students have all almost graduated. The last thing anyone who loved her wants to see is her, or her children, to be forgotten. This year will be one of the biggest fundraisers to date, just to make sure that doesn't happen. If you'd like to make a donation to Marci's Girls or buy raffle tickets for a great raffle on November 14th at Let's Dance Cleveland, please contact me here at the station 216-431-3431. The raffle has great items from Gino's Jewelers to a night on the town to items from your favorite sports teams. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
