Guest guest
On third month of Acyclovir (Having done Valtrex, immunovir and others for an extended period of time with some good initial results previously, which faded off) and hyperimmunity we have finally pulled out a virus. Vitamin D3 helped us with that. I used it as an immune system booster, because with best will in the world, with my Son, his immune system won't interact with the acyclovir to a high enough level when its so under par, I figured, and this has worked, along with increased methylation. I needed to do more in those two areas to get the valtrex to work, that's where things went drastically wrong before. But it will vary from child to child how effective a strategy it is for hyperimmunity and treating viruses and I am not a doctor. This morning we had some minor stimming (first for six months) but as it has passed, not too worried. OCD with a book. Verbal. At same time as Acyclovir, its a shame, but we need to do a clear out which we started last night, so don't know if we will lose some of the dose of anti-viral. Jay has impaction and I don't want that bacteria sitting there having a four course dinner. Don't forget, try and get water in whilst on the Acyclovir. Understand if some of kids won't do it, please try, so important. I have seen yet more language on Acyclovir, (more natural and spontaneous language) demands to make things and paint, which is just brilliant as previously not interested (although I have encouraged the painting, and colouring was just done under sufferance, which I don't want for Jay its counterproductive. Something that I'm really pleased with as an improvement is that in the past he was obsessed with the colour dark green (would mix in a bit of blue) and he didn't like anything too bright and colourful. I let him have a break on the computer today, and he has this art package that you click on colours to colour picture. For years it all got coloured green by him. I came into the room and he was copying, appropriately, the different colours into a new picture. I was surprised. Said to him, Oh look at all those lovely colours, you've stopped doing all green! He says, " I can see it now " Of course was not going to let that get past me. Pressed him, said what do you mean, you can see? He said, the colours don't hurt. Said, hurt what? he said my eyes. That made me think about all the visual stims we have had in past (viral) and hope they are resolving. This is my own thinking, but if the acyclovir is clearing viruses in any sense, some people might see visual stims step up? Or disappear? Sad stuff. He changed class recently. Lying in bed, he told me I feel sad, they've taken my boys and girls away. Things are healing again, but at a greater rate than previously. I don't know if you class ripping me off as an improvement or a false positive lol, wanted to buy a weekly part make a skeleton thing at £5.99 per shot, 25 weekly parts or something, came out with the ribs lol. Loved playing on his scooter too, he has never as much looked at it until today and he asked for it. Guest guest
Eileen, wow, Jay has come so far... huge congratulations! It's so wonderful when our kids make progress even if it's something really small When they express their emotions it's so amazing! Hope Jay is happy in his new class. I've had this a lot recently with Noor. She's also become really sensitive to my emotions "Mummy's angry with me because...." Then I get the "sorry" and everything. She's also taking an interest in her appearance/clothes (she's 11). She'll tell me the night before whether she wants one plait, two plaits or ponytails! She's recently started asking me if I'm ok! I was made redundant 2 months ago and Noor knows that her Mum doesn't have job at the moment. The other day she said to me "Mummy find another job so that you can take me to The Lion King at the theatre". Cheeky thing has seen it 3 times already but is slightly obsessed with it. Nonetheless I was blown away by the comment!I have to try acyclovir because at the moment it seems to be the only logical thing to do.Thanks for your constant good wishes and your positive energy!
