Stop endless mealtime battles and make mealtime a happy timeDid you know that there are over 30 steps to eating? How does feeding, a process so integral to the child’s health and well-being, go awry?

Join us as Barrie Galvin discusses her Mealtime Management Clinic. She will explain their unique approach to feeding disruptions: a unique parent coaching and child interactive approach to treat complex feeding problems in infants and children through school age. Learn skills to help your child who may be unable to suck and swallow in a seated position; drink from a variety of cups; use a straw; tolerate specific textures; chew; use silverware appropriately; regulate their hyper-reactive responses to specific tastes, textures, temperatures, and/or

smells; and tolerate new foods.Over a 45 year career, Barrie established The Galvin Therapy Center, a state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary pediatric private practice. Barrie is the clinical director of The Galvin Therapy Center and the founder of The Galvin Education and Resource Center for Families, a nonprofit organization whose primary mission is to bring new information to families of children with special needs. Barrie has many advanced certifications & training, has served as president of the Ohio Occupational Therapy Association (OOTA), was awarded a lifetime achievement award from the OOTA and was interim director and clinical supervisor for the Occupational Therapy Program at Cleveland State.
