Guest guest
I'm sharing this from a friend who has autism that has only transit for transportation.  He's asked me to ask friends to send a letter to congress to stop the major budget cuts.  You can sign an electronic letter to congress by the link below.  Our community of autistic adults rely on transit for their transportation and this is very important that the budget cuts don't cause a major problem for our community. Hi-The recently released budget proposal from the Republican Study Committee cuts all federal funding for Amtrak. And it doesn’t stop there. It eliminates New Starts – the transportation program that funds all new transit projects in the country, from commuter rail to bus rapid transit and ferries – and slashes high-speed rail funding. It even chops all funding for Washington DC’s transit authority, the very transit system that legislators’ staff and neighbors rely on every day to get to and from work. Transportation for America is collecting signatures on a letter to legislators to stop these cuts from going through. They’ll be delivering the signatures during meetings this month. I just signed – and you should too. It only takes a second:http://action.smartgrowthamerica.org/p/dia/action3/common/public/?action_KEY=5367  Reply  Forward -- ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~Do you know about ? is a family/parent support and resource group in Northeast Ohio.
