Hi Shari,I know this is a long shot, but I am wondering if there are any tickets/seats at a lower price that might be available for a young many with Aspergers. My son is 11 and is a die hard Iron Chef / Symon fan and budding chef. For the past several years, Symon Restaurants has paired with Share Our Strength to raise funds to fight childhood hunger through Share Our Strength's A Tasteful Pursuit touring dinner series. These dinners have proven to be a success and with that in mind we thought it might be possible to broaden the scope and include Autism Speaks and Urban Community Schools.

Food for Life will be held on August 1, 2010 at The State Theater on Playhouse Square and will feature samplings from chefs from across the country and music, what a fantastic pairing! Proceeds from the evening will benefit Autism Speaks, Share Our Strength and Urban Community Schools.

Hi Shari,I also would like to attend but can't afford the current ticket prices listed. I know this is a fundraiser but.... I have two sons with Asperger's and a younger son who also has special needs. My youngest son just graduated from LCJVS Culinary Arts Program in Oberlin. I know that he LOVE to be able to see all of the chefs listed. What a wonderful opportunity it would be for him! My oldest son has also shown a great deal of interest in culinary lately. I think he would LOVE the opportunity to attend as well. Unfortunately I am a single parent raising three special needs sons by myself on a teacher's income. All three boys are still living at home and very much dependent on me, including financial support. So all of the expenses that I have leave little room, if any, for any
