Guest guest
Hi ! Thanks for your posting! We had home based early intervention back in 2001 and it was very good for our son. It was difficult to take him out to a place for services like that and being in the home he was able to attend better to the OT. I learned so much and it was helpful at home because my son's OT could show me some things in our home that I could do to help further him along. Either way, early intervention is so great to help start a child in the right direction. ~ n > > Hi Everyone, > Early Intervention Consulting LLC is very excited to announce that we are now offering HOME BASED OT SERVICES!!! > I have been looking very hard for the past few years to find an experienced and flexible OT that is willing to work in the child's home on both functional and sensory based OT. Her name is Diane and she has a wealth of experience of working with children on the spectrum! She is also able and willing to adapt her style of OT services to meet your child's and families need (more or less sensory / functional OT targets and strategies). > EIC feels that it is very important that the child receives services that are easily replicated in the home (using the child's natural environment and equipment). We also believe that it is important to see the child in their home and school setting to determine the most appropriate and functional goals for the child. > > Diane will be adhering to EIC's standards and protocols including: > 1) Assessing the child's needs in a natural environment > 2) Interviewing the parents on needs and wants for their child > 3) Coordinating with the home program and school to create a consistent program > 4) Collecting consistent data and creating IEP based progress reports on a quarterly basis > 5) Working in the convenience of your home / school around your schedule > > > > Please contact Diane directly at dthomas@... if interested. Although services will start in the fall, she can set up an initial consult so that you can meet her, create a schedule and ask her any questions! > > Thanks so much and please feel free to pass this along to any other families that may benefit from services! > > > > Rami, MS, BCBA > Director and Autism Specialist > Early Intervention Consulting LLC > Mobile 1.440.668.5342 > Fax: 1.800.670.1881 > arami@... > www.earlyinterventionconsulting.com >
