Happy New Year! I hope it was a great holiday season for you all.

I have been off the grid during the holidays and finally getting up to

speed...so here's an email about upcoming meetings.

Next Wednesday, January 12th we'll have usual support group for dads at 7 am at

the Bob on Rockside in Independence. We'll meet for an hour. This is an

informal meeting over coffee so please feel free to spread the word for anyone

who could benefit from sharing, support, and discussion between men. If you

plan on attending, please RSVP back to me at phillip.irvin@.... Also, if

anyone is on the eastside and would like to start a coffee or cocktail meeting

for dads, I'd be happy to work on it.

On Friday, January 21st, we'll have our parents support group meeting at 8 pm at

8401 Chagrin Rd. (Northwest entrance), Suite 14B, in Bainbridge. The office is

located across from Mc's at Chagrin and 306, just north of 422. This

night corresponds with BREATHE respite so please use this great free service or

your own babysitter for childcare coverage. Please visit

http://www.breathefellowship.com/ for more information on the respite care.

Prior registration for childcare is required. Their schedule is below and we

will plan to have our group meetings during these events throughout the year.

At our meetings we've discussed the need for social interaction for the kids.

We'll see if we can coordinate a Saturday at Hattie Larlham's Play Center

(http://hattielarlham.org/home/program/play/index.htm) or a few hours of

sledding. Another option (although perhaps a sensory nightmare) is the Boneyard

in Mayfield. Winter limits us a bit, but it would be great to get the kids

together.

As always, feel free to email me or call me with any questions or comments.

Best wishes for a productive yet peaceful 2011,

D. Irvin
