After talking to Mandi at last year conference I decided to see the GP, not really thinking any of this adrenal stuff would really be an issue, just thought I was getting older. Couldn't believe it when thyroid antibody test came back positive [Hashimoto's] almost certainly brought on by stress. Now permanently on Thyroxine.

Can't do the night out with the girls thing because I don't really socialise, wondering how many others here don't have any normal kids like me, it's difficult to be involved with mainstream when your entire life is ASD, never meet a mainstream parent!

And by the way, the reason i say this is because if you have done biomed for a year or so, you may be thinking, i'm fine.

Give it a few years and you will start to feel abit drained.

Give it a few more years and you will look like me. Tired, alot rounder and looking like you have a permanant hangover, even when you don't hardly drink!

Adrenal cortex is absolutely vital for all of us in this house. The only person not taking it is my youngest son, who will be soon, and the dog (he has his own supplements and diatom !)

Kirsty,

You are so right and I have to remind myself often to take better care of

myself. It's so easy to go down hill when your worn out and deprived of sleep.

Thanks for the reminder,
