The Different Needz Foundation is Now Accepting Grant Applications

February 17, 2011

CLEVELAND, OHIO.

The Different Needz Foundation is pleased to announce that its 2011 grant application period has commenced.  After a successful 2010 fundraising year, which included proceeds from the Second Annual Luke Jordan Memorial Golf Outing, the Foundation is accepting applications for monetary grants from special needs individuals, families and special needs organizations that are in need of medical services or equipment. Qualifying applications must be post marked no later than March 30, 2011.  Grant applications are currently available from the Foundation at the Foundation’s website, www.differentneedzfoundation.org, or can be obtained by written request at The Different Needz Foundation, P.O. Box 23423, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023.  Grant awards will be announced by the Foundation on May 9, 2011.

The Different Needz Foundation is a 501©(3) charitable organization. The Foundation’s primary mission is to provide special needs individuals, families and organizations that support them with money to purchase medical equipment, therapy devices, adaptive toys and/or services.

The Different Needz Foundation is the sister company to DifferentNeedz.com. DifferentNeedz.com is the first and only dedicated website that allows the special needs community to buy and sell gently used and new medical equipment, therapy devices, adaptive toys and more online.  DifferentNeedz.com provides an avenue for special needs individuals, families, institutions and foundations to acquire quality necessities for daily life at significantly reduced prices. A percentage of every sale is donated to the Different Needz Foundation.

Both Differentneedz.com and The Different Needz Foundation were inspired by the life of Luke Jordan. Luke was born with many physical disabilities and medical conditions. Despite his disabilities, Luke was able to bring out the best in those who knew him. The Different Needz Foundation helps Luke’s “friends†obtain the necessary equipment and medical services they need to have the best quality of life.
