We just bought jello, water, popcicles, pudding, sprite, anything and everything and offered it to him. Whatever he wanted. When we came home from the hospital he wanted something to eat and he said chicken nuggets. Their throat is so numb at that point they don't realize it is sore. Just give them their pain medications like your doc says and don't miss and you and them will be fine. It just takes a few days.
