Tonsillectomy (not adenoids)

Hi,

My 4.5 year old daughter has been suffering from periodic fevers, with

enlarged lymph node and swollen/red/pussy tonsils for the last 7

months. We've done lots of testing (including genetic testing) and

nothing has come up. We went to see an ENT specialist and she

recommended a tonsillectomy, but that she saw no reason to take out the

adenoids. It sounds like most people on this site who do the surgery

also have the adenoids taken out. Did your doctor ever tell you why?
