Thanks, Jackie...we are set to meet with a pediatric rheumatologist after the

New Year at Phoenix Children's.  We could have received an appointment earlier,

but we were sick of doctor appointments and with the holidays and celebrating a

third birthday, we just decided to wait a few extra weeks.

I may come back and ask you for your physicians at a later date, however.

Thanks for the offer and I hope your Landon remains symptom free.

I'm wondering if anyone else had these symptoms as a child?  I was sick monthly

as a child as well.  Sometimes they traced it to strep throat and other times

they just shot me full of penicillin anyway.  Either way, I have hardly ever

been sick and have never had strep in the thirty years since my tonsils were

taken out.  Looking back on it, with little to no memory of my illnesses,

I'm pretty sure I was a sufferer of at the time.  Does anyone else have a

similar genetic history to their children?

>I have a twin brother that was sick with high fevers and a sore throat

every month. He had his tonsils out at age 5 and lo-and-behold it cured

those awful symptoms. Though I never fevered (or any signs), he

did. However, my youngest daughter has (or should I say had?!!!)

since she was 11 mos. old. Funny, my mother never even put 2 + 2

together until one day she was talking to me about how sick my brother

used to get and I was like " Mom - he must have had too! " but at

the time (eon's ago) noone even heard of such a thing. Thank goodness

tonsillectomies were the norm back then. My 7 y.o. and my brother's

daughter do not have .

April

Mom to Olivia 7 yr, and Lily 2 1/2 yrs and fever free since T & A on

Oct. 11th (that's the first time I've admitted that, so I'm knocking on

wood all over the place) :o)
