Our daughters fevers were never " spot on " cyclical. Sometimes they'd come with

decent regularity and other times vary by many days or a couple of weeks.

Our immunologist has about 20 cases and indicated only about half were " spot on "

cyclical. The fairly routine recurrence with all of the symptoms (and ruling

out the other likely illnesses, except the genetic fever disorders) was enough

for her to give us a working diagnosis.

We have also been fortunate that we stumbled into a great pediatrician in our

practice one Saturday that has had several cases.

le had a T & A on 12/11 and her last fever was 11/16/07. For the

first time in a very long time, I can't even tell you the exact number of days

that is!!!

Daughter - le, 32 months ( since 7 mths - 02/06; T & A on 12/11/07)

Son - Jay, 11 months.

So sorry for the time you are going through sarah. It does sound like

we're in the same boat. I think the trick is going to be finding the

right doctor! It seems like everyone here for the most part has had to

go through many doctors to find the one that had a clue about all

this. I'm wondering if we should search out an ENT now? - we are

currently seeing an Infectious Disease dr. at the moment.

Good luck in your search. If you're like me, you are hoping it

actually is . I'm still waiting to see what horrible illnesses we

can rule out at this point.
