and with the fmf they need the colchicine treatment so they do not build up

protein in the major organs which can lead to renal failure. you should find a

dr. who will explain it all to you. i don't think this dr. is right just doing

nothing and maybe it will disappear . maybe he is not trusting what you have

to say.

Correct me if I am mistaken, but I believe that one of the " flavors " of genetic

fever disorder can result in a potentially fatal heart complication. Those kids

need to get on a particular medicine ASAP to avoid damage to the heart. I also

think treatment does differ in some ways. I myself am still waiting on results

of genetic testing and am avoiding doing too much research on the internet or

else I will just freak myself out. I want to find out results before I start

getting worked up.
