The Art of Cooking Special Diets - FREE The Art of Cooking Special Diets is being offered free of charge on Thursday, May 27, from 8am - 5pm. The reason for focusing first on food is that food is foundational to helping our children get better. It all begins with the diet. There are many wonderful treatments and therapies that you will learn about at the conference, but the key to healing is the proper food and its preparation. The word "diet" is restrictive and immediately brings to mind the idea of sacrifice or loss. Unfortunately, we are, to some degree, stuck with the phrase "special deits." Far from being a sacrifice "special diets" is more akin to healty foods. . Over the last 40 years our eating habits - what we eat and how the food is prepared - has changed drastically to our detriment..It's a wonder any of us can think or work. Most of what passes for food today should be called "food-like," because it isn't food. Now imagine what it's like for a child with autism who suffers from malabsorption and the difficulties they face when trying to digest ingredients that belong in a chemistry lab, not in your child's diet. I know firsthand the difference food makes in the healing and recovery process. The wrong food can send a child over the edge. Good food can bring the child back. As a fellow parent I urge you to attend this seminar. If there is only one day you can attend, please consider attending Culinary Day: The Art of Cooking Special Diets. Please register to ensure your seat. Happy Mother's Day It's your day! May it bring you love, pride and a deep sense of accomplishment for what you have done and will do over the coming year. Rejoice. Our children are blessings and it will be the mothers who help save all our children. .
