If diagnosed with , there is nothing that you " should " treat with,

but there are some options that might make the fever episodes shorter,

the fevers lower, or potentially eliminate the episodes. Basically,

these options are Prednisone/Orapred, Cimetidine/Tagamet, Singulair, or

potentially a Tonsillectomy/Adenoidectomy (T & A).

i would ask about cimdeditine. It is a " tagament. " And, is pretty mild, in terms

of drugs to give (although, we do have her liver enzymes checked every 3 months.

And, it seems to be helping us out, a lot.

Did they think she has fmf. my son is on colchicine now and his fevers have

dropped but he still has the body pain and mouth sores come and go? But I was

told he needs to stay on the colchicine to prevent problems in the future.
