Guest guest
Hi! I am interested in attending the group for the first time on the 17th. What is the time length of the meetings? I'm curious to know about the respite care activities and ages of kids attending. My son is 11 and I think he'd transition into a new situation if I could give him a heads up on what to expect... nothing you didn't already know! Also, are subjects or topics or the agenda for the meeting set ahead of time? I would really like to speak with parents about what good eductional programs are out there. I would also be interested to hear how other parents have worked with their school districts to get what they need and if anyone is on the scholarship, what kind of programming are they doing? My son would reap the benefits of being in a program with typical peers that is geared toward facilitiating learning and social skills. He often struggles in a group setting due to his need for positive supports and help to stay engaged and interested in learning activities. Thanks, Jill
Guest guest
Hi Serenity is meeting at the Shore Cultural Centre on Thursday September 16th at 7pm. Our Speaker is from the county Department of Developmental Dissabilities. He will be addressing transition concerns. Unfortunately we do not have child care available. We are working on that. Call Sharon at 216-906-2903 with questions. From: Jill <dancingrus@...>Subject: [ ] subject=upcomingparentssupportgroupmeetings Date: Thursday, September 2, 2010, 2:25 PM Hi!
