Monday, March 14 (6-7:30pm) What is ABA/VB? This workshop is meant to be an introduction to applied behavior analysis and verbal behavior. This workshop will review the principles of ABA/VB and why is so effective for students with autism spectrum disorder. Parents and Professionals are welcome. Monday, April 4 6-7:30pm Self-Help and Daily Living Skills This workshop will review teaching procedures related to self-help and daily living skills. In particular strategies related to task analysis, chaining and reinforcement will be discussed. Parents and Professionals are welcome. Monday, May 2 6-7:30pm IEP Basics This workshop will review the basic components of an individual education program. The workshop will also review the recommended ‘dos’ and ‘don’ts’ of advocating for your child. Parents and Professionals are welcome. All of these workshops will be held at Dayton Autism Center which is very close to the Airforce Museum. The address is 1000 Old Harshman, Dayton, OH 45431.
