Guest guest
, That is an absolutely fascinating story! I have heard of therapy dogs before, also for using them to predict seizures, for hearing and of course for " seeing " . I don't know how the dog knew, but it reminded me of a story about Micah. When we moved here we knew no-one but met people at Sunday School, the library story time and then preschool. The first three birthdays here I have let Micah decide who he will invite to his birthday party. The first two years he picked other children with some kind of speech difficulties! The third year he picked a boy from his kindergarten class who had a number of special needs and came from a very poor and very chaotic family. I think Micah's innate sense and empathy and understanding are amazing too. How could he pick these kids out so quickly, without anything ever being said to him or in front of him that I know of? where in Florida are you, I forget....we are going to visit my folks in Feb/March, sure would be nice to meet you. Guest guest
Hi Carol! I live down the street from Gypsy Doodle and the Reyes family of course! http://www.small-dog-clothes.com/about_me.html Seriously -we live on the Treasure Coast less than 2 hours from Miami or Orlando (Disney) We got together with Jennie and her kids (borngmama@...) recently and I would love to get together with you too when you are here! Call me on the CHERAB phone line 772-335-5135. That was a sweet story about Micah. I have a similar story to share that I will tell you when we get together. I too believe that because of the rough start our children have -that they are more tuned in and sympathetic to the needs of others. I don't know about to the consistency and extent of Gypsy Doodle though! =====
Guest guest
Hello Everyone: I'm not sure on which Group I remember reading this information. At one time someone posted information about a local place who can train dogs already aquired in the home as a therapy dog for kids/adults diagnosed with autism. Does anyone happen to have this information and if so could you please email the information to me at ocecdbr@... I do appreciate your help, Thanks, Barb Rutt Barbara Rutt, S.W.A., Parent Training Coordinator OCECD-Cleveland Office 440-617-9544 - Office 440-617-9547 - Fax 800-694-6402 - Toll Free ocecdbr@... www.ocecd.org "If you treat an individual as he is, that is all he will ever be.
