Guest guest
I don't post much but i have to get this out of my system. Last week I went to what I thought was a specialist but his staff are the dizzy ones. they did not have any record of the appointment but even worse the doctor was not in that day and never works Fridays. I took a day off work for nothing. This week is a disaster for me. Family doctor wanted to check my blood work again because in the last one that the neurologist wanted done, it showed my thyroid levels were low. She redid the blood test Monday, and Thursday, I got the call. My thyroid is no longer working. Going to the hospital the bus I was in was in an accident. I forgot my health card at home so I had to go back and get it. There was a bus accident outside the hospital causing no bus service until it was cleared, so I took the long way home. Went back to the Dizzy clinic at Toronto Western and saw the dizzy specialist. He says that some of the tests show that my eye movement is delayed and he “thinks” that 2 optic nerves are too close together and may be stripped of myelin and because they are close together, they may be shorting out causing the dizzy spells; but this is a theory. Can I have this week start over again? Question #2 …. Can Rebif cause the thyroid to stop working? Why are they checking the thyroid levels for liver tests? ... I called the MSSupport people and found out that yes Rebif can stop the thyroid from working. Why is everything happening to me? Asthma, hearing problems, eye problems, MS, dizzy spells and now … under active thyroid! What else can happen?
