Guest guest
Hi All Today was werid day my steriods are now down to 15mg , but the side effects seem no better than when i was on 80mg, glad they will soon be over and hopefully i will not need them again for a long time. I went to the practice nurse today for a bloodtest, stupid doctor forgot to tell me it was a fasting blood test good job i felt so sick i hadn't eaten only had a drop of water for the meds so she was able to do the test for liver function, renal function, potassium, full blood count, blood sugar and 3 other things i can't remeber i think it was something to do with my crohn's medcine, one to do with the carbamzepine medication gawd knows what the other test was all i know is she took 6 vials of blood and got into a vein first attempt unlike the hospital who jabbbed and jabbed me with countless needles. the 15 minute walk to my doctors took me an hour to do i felt like an old woman of 90 and has stop so many times, coming home i had to call in to the chemist in the supermarket for my prescription three carrier bags of medication and the rest of the drinks they owed me and i still need to collect one drug tomorrow if i feel up to it. way i feel at the moment that drug i have plenty for now can wait till i need to go to the supermarket, i'm not going to make a trip just for 96 ascol pills. I have some nice brusing still coming out on me specially my tummy legs and lft wrist, the bruise on left wrist hurts the most, just my cardican touching that wrist causes me a lot of pain, its because the surgical team put the canuala in the vein on the inside of the wrist, till they did that i never known for one to be put there before , it was ok till i got infection there and they had to remove it and put it in my foot now i can tell you that is the worse place to have one, you got to remeber its there and not cross your feet, then there is having to stay on the bed because the tubbing is not long enough to walk with it, and your feet getting cold because you have to have the blankets folded back off the feet so nurses could get at the darn thing to put your antibotics and steriods through. thank goodness i only had it there for 48 hours never again will i let them use my feet for ivs its now 2am still no sleep for me even though i took my strong painkiller at 11pm, i do feel like i'm the spaced out bunny from magic roundabout, my kitty is sound asleep snoring for england , take care and gentle hugs for all love Mandy xxx
