Guest guest Posted November 24, 2008 Report Share Posted November 24, 2008 Hi Stefanie, Our Dr is going to start with cimetidine (tagamet)....this works on " some " of the children...not everyone....if nothing goes there...she is going to try colchicine....this will help in diagnosing which periodic fever without genetic testing...it helps all the others usually but not .... I'm not going to use the prednisone (except maybe to diagnose)and also for emergencies (ie holidays, birthday) Those are the three that I know about....I'm sure there are others. Talk to your doctor and see if you could try these instead of the vicious cycle that the prednisone brings for the quick fix. Tammy Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
