Guest guest
In the post Wammer 33 posted regarding and Christmas she called this a febrile illness. I never really thought about it like that, it's always been to me, not a fever illness. I however, as a child, had febrile seizures that I did out grown when I was around 5 years of age. I am always wondering where did my son's come from. Do any parents of children with have this similar background? I did have my tonsils removed at age 5. We will never know if this was now. I don't know if my mom recalls any specific patters of illness for me. I do recall a neighbor kid telling me I was sick a lot. I was #5 of 5 kids so it's hard for my mom to remember who had what illness and when. Just wondering if this is similar to anyone elses story. Thanks, Lynn
Guest guest
Hi Lynn, Its funny you should mention your fevers as a child because when Teagan started fevering, my mom said " Oh, its nothing, you always had fevers and the doctors couldn't find anything wrong with you " I remember hallucinating from them as a child because they were so high. My mom never pushed the issue and eventually I outgrew them. I've only had a fever one time my entire adult life (I'm 37). My Teagan has had one seizure but she did not have a fever at the time. I know studies have not found a hereditary component but after hearing that from my mom, I'm convinced there is. Thanks for posting that.
