Guest guest
- We went the T & A route without trying anything else out first. I've read enough stories on this board to realize that none of the drugs are without fail or problems. My son was an infant when he first started fevering and the docs suggested all of the various pharmaceuticals when he was just over a year. NO WAY. I really don't see that taking a drug on a daily basis is a solution, but rather a mask. The only cure I read about was T & A. We did this when my son was 24mos. I am so thankful we did it early and do not have to suffer this for years with medication. I would not call T & A routine, but it certainly is a very common surgery, our experience was routine though. As scary as surgery was, I found the prospect of another fever episode much more terrifying. We have been fever free now since May. Good luck to you!
