Hi Madeline,

First off no ones issues on here are trivial! You look like you have had more than your share of problems this year! That's a lot of time spent in the hospital... Have they got your breathing under control now??? Do you have family help to get you through all this that you have to cope with???

Glad you were able to post, no post is too small or too large here... We have many asthmatics on here... My 13 yr old grand daughter is asthmatic also... She's on Advair twice daily and albeterol as her emergency inhaler... She does pretty good on them, straw, hay, cats and smoke seem to be her worst triggers...

Post when your able too, hope you can stay clear of the hospitals for a while...

Wow! First let me introduce myself. I joined this group a while back, but have not been really active. With as much hospital time I like tocheck in and read the posts as I can, but I have never replied before. In comparison to some of you my issues seem almost trivial. I am asevere asthmatic, and also have some permanent lower lung damage froman ozone exposure at work. Over 10 weeks in the hospital from May toAugust, and two weeks at the Mayo clinic in ville, FL inSeptember. I have never had a problem with bananas. In fact both myasthma specialist and endocronologist (due to the lung issues I am onhigh dosages of Prednisone and have developed Cushing's sydrome anddiabetes) recommend that I eat one every day. Are you allergic tothem in some way? Not saying that is the case. Could just be avariation in triggers. If I have learned anything this past year itis that asthma has so many triggers that vary widely from person toperson.Madeline
