to cut or not to cut, that is my question....

Hello everyone. We are still trying to figure out what would be the

best course of action to take with ph. A little reminder: He is

almost 13 years old. Fevering for at least the past 10 years. He is

on a 6 to 8 week cycle. Never had a mouth sore. Fevers are 104 and

last 5-7 days. He gets very dark circles around the eyes. My

husband & I are wondering should we have a T & A or not ? What is the

success rate ? What are the chances that we put him through that and

he still have the symptoms ? Aside from hating to see him be sick I

am concerned that as he moves up each year in school that missing a

week at a time will effect his grades. In the earlier years he was

able to keep up and his grades never suffered but now that he is

taking advance classes it seems harder to stay on top of things when

he misses a week.

Look forward to hearing from those of you who have had the surgery

and how you feel it helped or not.
