Guest guest
I must have had my brain turned off when I wrote that. It is Elavil (amitriptyline). Sorry about that. BVan Betty Re: [ ] Betty The Atarax for nerve pain? I've never heard of this one, but will see which one my dr thinks will work more for me. I do take a muscle relaxer and tylenol 3 at night to help me sleep and to keep me from waking up with horrible muscle spasms in my neck and shoulders. Thanks for taking the time to reply........it helps when I go back in to dr to ask about different rx. Hugs
Guest guest
Betty We had some amatriptaline here that had been for my hubby for migraines so I took one last night......I slept really well, except for some reason, I rolled over onto my stomach with both arms crossed under me. When hubby came in at 4am from work, both of my arms were completely dead asleep, I couldn't even get ahold of my pillow! lol I'm going to continue it for a few days and see if it helps the nerve issues. Thanks so much! Hugs
Guest guest
I take 100mg at night and have for a few years. I had gone the MD route with no help. I tried a podiatrist and decided he was not a doctor. I thought that to be typical of podiatrist as I had never seen one before. One day I was channel surfing and crossed BLAB TV and that's what they do BLAB. There was a podiatrist on there and after listing I decided he must be a doctor. The first one had said that MediCare does not cover foot care. That was absurd but then how is that different. I called and asked one question. Will MediCare cover it? They said of course they would. So I went. He gave me shots, did 2 surgeries and prescribed Elavil. He is the only doctor that I have benefited any from in that respect. Many people with neuropathy take it. If after a few nights and it is helping less consider the dosage. I started on 25mg and slowly increased until I have reached my present dosage.
