Guest guest
The fevers are back. Our son had a T & A about 2 years ago which resulted in a wonderful respite from until the fevers came back a few months ago. Before the T & A, our son suffered from episodes every 4-6 weeks, lasting about 3 days. His first episode was at 2 DAYS OLD. The T & A was miraculous - and he was episode free for 1-1/2 years. But as of February, the has returned, with fevers occuring at a MUCH faster rate - every 2-3 weeks and still lasting approx 3 days. Our infectious disease specialist is running a multitude of tests but he's convinced that it's the return of and will most likely continue for several more years before it burns itself out for good. Now we're in the midst of deciding between Cimetidine and Prednisone. But in the meantime, he's missing so much school! An off-the-wall question - Has anyone tried any type of Eastern Medicine to " cure " their child's ? And how are parents dealing with the missing of so much school? Thanks. And my best wishes go our to everyone who's considering or has had a T & A done. It's a wonderful " cure " for most people. Our circumstances of it returning is supposed to be VERY rare. Thanks!
