Hello. I'm April, mom of 3 and my oldest, , who just turned 4

has been diagnosed with and been given his first dose of

Prednisone. I was amazed at how quickly the fever was gone. We've

been in and out of clinics with doctors looking at me like I'm nuts

and telling me oh he's fine for over 2 yrs. now. I was so happy to

have a doctor tell me that there is a reason. So I'm new to this and

doing the research and trying to control my nerves with the things I

read. We are waiting on blood work looking at his white blood cell

count.

Gabe gets high fevers usually around 104 or so and they come on

suddenly, last for 3 or 4 days and then are gone. They never respond

to tylenol or motrin. The only other thing he complains about it

neck pain. He has very large lymph nodes in hsi neck and they feel

swollen when he has the fevers. He doesn't eat, drink, play or pay

much attention to anythign during the fevers.

So I look at the upside that we knwo what it is and try to digest the

info. as I read it. If you have suggestions or anything please let

me know.
