Guest guest
Hi, I posted last week explaining that we have brought our 3 1/2 year old son to a rheumotoligist afetr referred by our pediatrician (who specialty happens to be ID). Both are leaning toward a diagnosis. My son gets a fever about every 5 weeks or so, and really high (104-105), it last for about 4 sometimes 5 days. He is lethargic the first day, but full of energy the others. No visible signs ever, he just complains of a headache and a sore throat (it's never red). Well, the blood work is back, but both doctors are on vacation. Basically, his blood was abnormal, obviously he had a fever when we took him for the blood work. The blood work did show elevated sed rate of 19 and creactive was about 8, WBC was 13. Urine was off as well. I am just getting nervous because from reading on the web, these results can mean anything from a virus to leukemia or lymphoma. Just wondering if any parents have any experiences with such blood results that have a definate diagnosis of , as my husbnad and I are getting really nervous, and we have to wait until September 3rd for an answer!! Any help would be much appreciated.!!
