Guest guest
Ok everybody.... I am at a crossroads in decision making here....give me your thoughts. My 3 yr old's pediatrician is VERY adamant about her getting her flu shot right now. Her infectious disease doc said it was " probably " a good idea....The problem is this....I do not remember having this wonderful fever cycling until she had her first flu shot. Then they started coming like clockwork. Sooooooooo....my gut feeling is to hold off with that shot this time around. But he keeps telling me how so many children die from the flu each year and yadda yadda. I know it happens...I just don't know what to do...I have severe egg allergies so I have never been able to get the flu shot my whole life. I've only had the flu maybe 2 times my whole life and I'm 38. Her fevers seem to be slowing down some right now....not sure if it's just a remission time frame or if her last cold just threw them off right now. She has been diagnosed with . I don't want to give her a shot that could aggravate these fever cycles. Sigh....this sux. Let me know what you think or any experience you've had.....recommendations from your doctors concerning this. She also needs her other hep a shot...and her possibly her dtp booster....her tetanus levels were low in her bloodwork for some reason and all her shots are up to date. She will get those boosters...just procrastinating a bit on the flu shot due to a gut feeling...u guys know what I mean. Thanks!
