Tonsillectamy did not work for us

Hi everyone. I am relatively new to the group and am grateful for all

that I have read over the last few months. I am writing to let you know

that our daughter--currently 3--was diagnosed with over a year

ago and has had montly to 6 week fevers (that last a little longer than

most of what I read, that is 10-13 days!!). Our doctor and ENT agreed

that T & A surgery was the best route, and on May 19th she had the

surgery. We were free and clear of fever in June, and then July she had

a episode lasting 13 days, with a follow up episode 3 weeks

later. It is now 6 weeks after the 2nd episode, and she has started

with fever tonight...hoping it is not an episode, but accepting that

this is probably a reality.

2 questions:

1) anyone like us not had success with T & A surgery

2) anyone like us experience episodes far longer than the 3-6 day

average?
