Guest guest
When I had my Liver Transplant at Baylor/Dallas we were told we had to buy a Medic Alert Bracelet, Pendant or Watch Band. You can order them online. Medic Alert also gives you a wallet card with important info. One may change what Medic Alert will tell, such as a change in Meds or Doctors at no charge. You can do it online. I have only had mine off in 13 1/2 yrs when I had an MRI. Jo Lynne emergency's and phone numbers a friend sent this to me and it is a wonderful idea. A first respondercame up with it. If you have a cell phone list a number in it underthe name ICE. stands for (information contact in emergency) That wayif you have an accident, seizure or anything that makes you un-able tospeak for yourself a first responder who sees a cell phone is trainedto look for that name in it instead of scrolling thru names and tryingto find a relative. The first responder then dials ICE and speaks towhomever you want to be in charge in case you cannot speak for your self.
