Guest guest Posted January 10, 2012 Report Share Posted January 10, 2012 Dr. Grim, et al, I don't know why I have htn, no reason to think it is related to my adrenals unless the murder of my son distroyed them. Most likely I have " run of the mill " htn. My dr. (no I don't have a team) barely gives a sh-t about the condition and didn't even tell me to watch my salt and diet (did not even mention it!!!!!) so my team sucks. What can I do? I am losing weight, going vegan and trying to get in the exercise. Numbers still stink. I am so afraid that I will have a debilitating stroke or heart attack. I can cry for the fear of it. I am 58 years old and a gun is pointed at my head. I can lie down and count my pulse from the feel of it! All of my valves are damaged from endocarditis in the early 90's and when my bp is low my pulse is high...visa versa. I'm telling you now, no dr., is going to help me. I am on my own. I am on Medicare so please don't tell me to get a better dr. Fat chance. My " dr. " has me on lisinoril 10 mg daily and 25 hydrocortithiazide. I stopped the water pill(no change to my numbers but less poisen in my body). Numbers the same (150/92 ish) sometimes higher. WTF??? Can anyone really give me advise?? Enough of this team talk.
