Guest guest
That is fairly new at WRJ. One of the people involved, and may be running it locally, is Barbara Bonney. She is a NP and supervised nurses in the ward most of the time. One afternoon a week she was in Walk in Mental Health and I saw her for a couple years. She is great professional with great follow through - If she is involved she would get to the bottom of what is going on, IMHO! Dr. Webster nd I talked about it at my last appt. so it may be something they are supposed to discuss. (I didn't qualify because I was doing so well at the time! It was BBB (Before Boob Bumps)!) - 65 yo super ob., fastidious male - 12mm X 13mm rt. a.adnoma with previous rt. flank pain. Treating with DASH. Stats w/o meds = BP 175/90 HR 59 BS 125. D/C Spironolactone 12/20/2011 due to adverse SX. Other Issues/Opportunities: OSA w Bi-Pap settings 13/19, DM2, Gynecomastia, MDD and PTSD. Meds: Duloxetine hcl 80 MG, Metoprolol Tartrate 200 MG, 81mg aspirin and Metformin 2000MG. Started washing Spironolactone 12/20/11 to prepare for AVS. > > Not sure why this was part of my PCP visit I do know that I was not asked about it so this statement is not true Home Telehealth (CCHT) Referral: Patient declines participation in CCHT Program at this time. > How ever I did look to see what telehealth was. Would do it if it was done with Dr Grim being the VA Dr on the other end. More information can be found here. Only one of the Videos would play right on my computer. > > http://www.telehealth.va.gov/ >
Guest guest
I would not choose this as you take your own BP and I assume it is accurate. It would be a bother. Clarence E. Guest guest
Do you have experience with it Dr. Grim? I figured it would provide information on their equipment by their standards so they would be hardpressed to discount the results! One of his complaints is never getting a good BP reading or no time to relax before they take it. I agree and have resolved that issue for me. If you had a chance to review the written summary he reported there appeared to be some inccurate assumptions. Until he gets an accurate DX I don't understand what harm it would be. He would also have another advocate to review the situation. And if he decides it is too much he can always opt out! And maybe he can save gas money! It sounds like a win/win to me. > > > Not sure why this was part of my PCP visit I do know that I was not asked about it so this statement is not true Home Telehealth (CCHT) Referral: Patient declines participation in CCHT Program at this time. > > How ever I did look to see what telehealth was. Guest guest
I thought you might have seen it. Dr. Webster and I didn't persue because we were both satisfied with my results and I have earned her trust in the numbers I report to her! > > > > > > > Not sure why this was part of my PCP visit I do know that I was > > not asked about it so this statement is not true Home Telehealth > > (CCHT) Referral: Patient declines participation in CCHT Program at > > this time. > > > > How ever I did look to see what telehealth was. Guest guest
There are two types of telehealth setup that the VA is using. If you watch the first Video It shows where one goes to to VA near them. Then both someone at VA and the Dr. that is consulting work together. The equipment lets the consulting watch and hear every thing. Can even hear on the stethoscope. > > > > > > > > > Not sure why this was part of my PCP visit I do know that I was > > > not asked about it so this statement is not true Home Telehealth > > > (CCHT) Referral: Patient declines participation in CCHT Program at > > > this time. > > > > > How ever I did look to see what telehealth was. Guest guest
My nephew gets the here many Vets complants he keeps telling my VA is very good at treating SX but not very good at Dx why you have them. As you point out my review shows why this is. I can post much more as to why this is in my case. > > > > > Not sure why this was part of my PCP visit I do know that I was not asked about it so this statement is not true Home Telehealth (CCHT) Referral: Patient declines participation in CCHT Program at this time. > > > How ever I did look to see what telehealth was. Guest guest
If the telehealth system works as well as the VA video shows this is going change how health care as we now know it. It will make health care a world wide system. > > > > > > > > > > > Not sure why this was part of my PCP visit I do know that I was > > > > not asked about it so this statement is not true Home Telehealth > > > > (CCHT) Referral: Patient declines participation in CCHT Program at > > > > this time. > > > > > > How ever I did look to see what telehealth was. Guest guest
I agree and let me add, it gives the person taking my BP something to do so they can't be taking my temp (and requesting I remove a hearing aid) or asking questions!
