Guest guest
, I have the name of the woman at home. I am on my way there tomorrow (after 2 weeks away). If no one else provides her name by tomorrow evening, I will look it up & post it for you. Guest guest
Hi . Sounds like you are finally making some progress! There were a couple post-AVS K crashes. Lucy Sage at s Hopkins: hyperaldosteronism/message/34518 And Lettie Maddan at Dartmouth: hyperaldosteronism/message/30445 As for who decides when you can go home - apparently it varies by hospital. Having had AVS done twice at UCLA, there I know they don't release the patient until the K comes up to 3.8 or higher. They take it very seriously - after one of the procedures mine stubbornly wouldn't go over 3.7 IIRC and they almost admitted me overnight. > Wasn't there someone here that had an AVS at Darmouth and a K Crash on the way home? Guest guest
For what it's worth Dr Lenz name doesn't come up as DHMC Dr. It was Lettie Maddan that had AVS at DHMC. She doesn't seem to say what Dr did the AVS. > > I heard from the Chief of Nephrology today, exactly 1 month after I announced I was stopping spiro and asked him to set up an AVS. Guest guest
Thanks Francis, I know he is not listed at DHMC, the only IR they have listed has meen practicing 51 years, I would have probably chosen the " young one " who has only been at it 32 years! > > > > I heard from the Chief of Nephrology today, exactly 1 month after I announced I was stopping spiro and asked him to set up an AVS. Guest guest
Thanks msmith. I found her and shot her an e-mail. I have absolutely no confidence in the endo department here, he better hope Lettie has the right answer! > > > Wasn't there someone here that had an AVS at Darmouth and a K Crash on the way home? Guest guest
Dr. Lenz probley does all AVS at the VA but don't think that would be many if any at all. Since he isn't a DHMC Dr then why would he be doing them there? > > > > > Wasn't there someone here that had an AVS at Darmouth and a K Crash on the way home?
