Guest guest Posted February 6, 2008 Report Share Posted February 6, 2008 I am presently using a combination of Tea Tree Oil and Athletic tape (It stays on best) to keep oxygen from getting to it and to keep it from spreading to my children. I've been doing this consistantly for about 8 months. Before that I used Apple Cider Vinegar. It works up to a point and then they grow right back! Hope this leads you in the right direction. Guest guest Posted February 6, 2008 Report Share Posted February 6, 2008 I have had an infection under my nail many yrs ago, that wouldnt go away, from the dirt I assumed, I almost lost the nail, and the only treatment that did work was tea tree oil, I had to use it continuously 3 times a day for a month, and it did go away. Problem is that we tend to hope that we will find a quick solution, sometimes you do, but sometimes it takes remembering to apply the oinment everyday and keep up with it to make it go away. I am a NP and this is what he taught me. so, I tell my patients which ever ?medicine" you use is fine just add duct tape to cover it and the glue in the tape will dissolve it faster and kill the virus more effectively than anything else. nancie [ ] How do I... In the past when I used duct tape it would just get wet and come off. Thanks!
