I am quite interested in the Native American culure and would enjoy learning more about the spirit ways. A beautiful Native American shaman/medicine man spent two days with me a few years ago and taught me many " beginning " lessons. I live on very " active " native land and many grandmothers and grandfathers share " my " land and abode. I hope that does not sound too strange! When I first moved into this home (almost 16 years ago,) furniture would be moved all around at some time during the night. Every morning I would dutifully put things back where I chose them to be placed. I finally got a bit fiesty & said out loud " Look, I am living here now and I want the furniture where I put it " . Well, that finally put an end to that. My Native friend got quite a kick out of that one. He told me that they were simply attempting to get my attention. He " felt " many Native spirits here and informed me that they want to teach me. They are still with me and we share space very peacefully, unless someone should be here that they do not like. Then, the shananigans that they pull are quite mischevious, make me laugh out loud and never fail to drive the " offending " visitor away! They do protect me and love my wolf- hybrid. I feel that they protect him, also. The only problem is: I am (and many others will verify this,) apparently " blocked " from leaving this property. Well, that is a long story. My interests: Hmmnnn...Well I am primarily interested in all " things " spiritual including how I live my life, meditation, prayer, healing and spiritual writings among other aspects. I have studied natural healing through the use of homeopathic and other " natural " remedies, through prayer and a few energy healing techniques that I have learned. I have a strong affinity to all forms of nature including the earth, animals and plants. I paint, am an avid reader, garden, tap dance and enjoy using the computer. I live a very reclusive life in a remote area of the country with way more trees and lakes than people. I am now retired from my former profession and have the time to pursue the things that I enjoy. Not sure if that answer is what you were seeking. If not, let me know. My interest in the Native American culture began when I moved to this area. It is still " raw " enough that a great deal of native heritage is quite visible & " felt " . The essences are not at all frightening and seem to simply be a part of the land: more of an " energetic " presence. I have only seen an actual spirit one time when all of the spot-lights around my home were suddenly lighting up. One floated by me to the last area where some switches were located for some spots & then...voila, the entire front of my home was flooded in light. I actually did feel that I was being protected at this time. This went on for three nights and then, nothing. Yes, I have often wondered if they are " keeping " me here for beneficial reasons. Ditto for the other reasons that you stated. I do not communicate with them except to acknowledge their presence. I have attempted to place the home on the market before (you know that I am planning to do this again, soon)and everytime something major would " happen " in the house that required repairs and much time. Well, I am not sure how I " went off " in this direction when I am really desiring to learn about Marty's expertise. But, then again, maybe I DO know!! Smile. I do not have any photos that I know of, but will take a look in my files. Now, I am going to stop taking up all of this space & energy. It has been fun, though!! My last thought though, concerning the energies, is that a healing of the land is perhaps desired. Even though the beauty of this space is magnificent, there is a decided heaviness and " dark " energy that is pervasive & that is not only on " my property " , but for miles. I truly believe that learning and understanding these energies, will help us to understand ourselves more. When our bodies die, then our true bodies (our souls) return to their true energy forms, such as your energies. The one you saw, did it have a human form or was it egg shape, a sphere. How about the color? Love, Joy [ ] Re: Welcome anne! Hi Joy, Well, having these experiences has been fascinating. The "Spirits" have a very ancient and deep "feel" to them. The essences are not at all frightening and seem to simply be a part of the land: more of an "energetic" presence. I have only seen an actual spirit one time when all of the spot-lights around my home were suddenly lighting up. One floated by me to the last area where some switches were located for some spots & then...voila, the entire front of my home was flooded in light. I actually did feel that I was being protected at this time. This went on for three nights and then, nothing. Yes, I have often wondered if they are "keeping" me here for beneficial reasons. Ditto for the other reasons that you stated. I do not communicate with them except to acknowledge their presence. I have attempted to place the home on the market before (you know that I am planning to do this again, soon)and everytime something major would "happen" in the house that required repairs and much time.Well, I am not sure how I "went off" in this direction when I am really desiring to learn about Marty's expertise. There could have been a massacre (either side) in the area somewhere. Maybe a whole tribe or town was wiped out, and that area needs cleansing. It has been fun, though!!My last thought though, concerning the energies, is that a healing of the land is perhaps desired. Even though the beauty of this space is magnificent, there is a decided heaviness and "dark" energy that is pervasive & that is not only on "my property", but for miles. I lite some Sage and offered it to the ones that built the mounds..There were some mounds in a out of the way place..I walked around to all the mounds and even came back and did a Pipe Ceremony there. I left there with[[[ a friend]]!!! He even showed himself to me once when I was dancing at a Pow-wow,while I was doing a Gourd dance,this is to Bless the dance area.I guess I was in the zone mentally where I could SEE the Spirits!! live well.
