Guest guest
Sounds like me. I was the Walking Mosquito Bite when I was a kid. Seriously, they'd be so close together, they'd sort of become on giant welt. And I'd swell up terribly. ----- I know exactly how that feels, my son and I always seem to be targeted by those pesky buggers where ever we go. I have since I was a kid (from Hawaii originally, so you can imagine). My relatives always used to say that I have " sweet " blood which attracts them. It's funny though as it tends to be erratic. One day my son and I were sitting in the car at the drive in and I came home with over 2 dozen welts whereas he only had a couple; then another time it was the complete opposite. I think our unique body chemistry does play a factor in what we emit and does definitely effect the way a fragrance reacts via heat and chemical composition, not necessarily ethnically, but individually (however, if if helps you out, I'm of mixed descent filipino, portuguese, chinese, russian, hawaiian; and my son is all of that plus irish & cherokee; I burn easily, but the burns tend to turn tan and then peels off again back to pale tan, lol, but DS tans well, not burning that easily even though he's fairer skinned than I am). What we eat and how we feel both emotionally and physically also factors in. I know that when I was pregnant I emitted a different " smell " than I do today and it was quite noticeable, my doula mentioned that pregnant lactating women often tend to have a sort of maple syrupy smell and I have to agree. Back to heat, one fragrance on me can be subtle if I'm in a certain mood which then of course smells divine, but in another mood it can be quite overwhelming and cause headaches. -
Guest guest
> I've wondered about the color of clothing, light or dark affecting that...or, like I said before, our systems might be more acidic or alkaline. I've tried the vitamin approach, brewers yeast, garlic etc. didn't help. I've been hiking with folks and was one of the few who got eaten alive so we must be emitting something that attracts more biting insects......I'll ask my friend from india. She eats lots of curry and spice and see if she gets attacked. > My dad never got a bite. I have no clue why. Blue eyed, brown hair. We would go to the same place and I lived on spray on benedryl and bendryl by mouth........go figure. Thanks Selkie, For the last 35 years or so I have been involved in the studies of natural healing, electromagnetic's and Radiant Plasma Discharge Technology (i.e. Rife etc., I build the only clinically tested and proved Rife machine currently available on a request basis.), and how our body chemistry is affected by these fields and the food we eat. I have found that if you eat something very basic your pH will rise but then shortly, in seconds often, you will become extremely acidic. It is amazing how many people don't know this. Drinking lemon juice in water will make your pH soar to an alkaline 8.5 pH or higher. And when I am working with cancer or other terminal illnesses I ALWAYS recommend they do this. Most things do exactly the opposite of what our reasoning minds say they should because the science we were taught in schools is so seriously flawed it defies reason that it is even still accepted! The one time Shaman to the Grateful Dead, Rolling Thunder, once taught me that by eating and bathing in vinegar we can put ourselves in a state of being which mosquitos and other biting insects have absolutely no taste for. I use about 1/2 to 1 cup in my bath and never get bitten since I started this practice. It also leaves the skin fresh and clean smelling and softens skin and hair. (smiles) Eating tomato's will make you more alkaline also. And this seems to make our precious scents stay beautiful on the skin longer in my experience. I am not personally a vegetarian but I find that people who eat these " clean " foods in quantity wear my fragrances better and that the perfumes retain a cleaner, more true to the intended expression on them longer than on those like myself who live on coffee, soda and junk. LOL Just some thoughts,

Guest guest
HI , > Most things do exactly the opposite of what > our reasoning minds say they should because the science we were taught > in schools is so seriously flawed it defies reason that it is even > still accepted! I have to watch my children go and return from school programming. > The one time Shaman to the Grateful Dead, Rolling Thunder, once taught > me that by eating and bathing in vinegar we can put ourselves in a > state of being which mosquitos and other biting insects have > absolutely no taste for. I swatted, and then gave up slept a bit and got eaten, this went on and on, until I just gave up and couldn't care less: I figured I was just getting eaten and miserable trying to cope, but losing much-needed sleep. Instead of wrapping myself up in the sheet and trying to breathe and sleep in the drone, I just lay skin exposed, and said: " goodnight i'm sleeping, have a good feed " , even as they buzzed close. I swear they hate the ph of fearlessness (Not reccomended, consult your expedition doctor). Luckily when I got to YYYYY, they saw that, and offered me a special oil with herbs and essences to combat the things, especially as I was going up-country. I said yes, but they tried to rob me while I was shaving the massage, so I never found out, as the massage was stopped. Plumridge
