Guest guest
Port Orford, a small (and odd!) fishing village on the Southern coast of Oregon, USA. It's a lovely quiet place on a temperate rainforested peninsula with ocean a mile away in two directions. Love it! -leavesofjoy / Micah www.al-kemi.com
Guest guest
Man, I am addicted to 'Deadliest Catch' and I've not ever one to be star struck but Sig is 'hot' and drat, I can't think of all their names, but the captain that had to quit because of clot, chain smoker. Love that guy. I would actually ask for an autograph from all of them. I will never eat seafood again , especially crab given what I've learned about how dangerous fishing for crab is without giving thanks to those guys or just thinking of them and how that got to my plate. And I cant afford it so I won't suffer that guilt anyway. Thats wierd huh? I feel like those guys are my family! Why does that show get me like that? I've lived in the rockies, adored that, don't like where I live now but the Ocean, it has always drawn me and I saw it for the first time at 50 and was on the beach dressed up for my daughters wedding and off came the shoes, up came the dress and into the water I went and I had to taste it too! Man, I felt like I was home. So I raised fish for years just to have a portion of that and did some great natural tanks. And I mean some awesome natural tanks. I can't do that anymore =( but at one time I had six going, a medicine tank for new fish to see if they were okay or for treatment of ick, which upping the temp in an aquarium salt will cure, no chemicals..... In my mind i live in ancient ireland by the sea. Oh, for those of you with goldfish, please know that they need at least 15 gallons of water EACH. much of that also goes by the inch. A gold fish can live 40 years or more if properly taken care of. double filtration, weekly water changed, dechlorinator......and what does have to so with soap? With home made soaps, you can wash your hands and if you have to in a pinch rinse and put your hands in the aquarium if a fishie is in trouble or you need to fix something.....it does't harm the fish. Store bought soaps will. No kidding....lotions 'no no'......but since I use my own oil, frac oil....not a problem. Oh and where I live, before I became disabled (hobbled is more like it) I LOVED to go and herb hunt, find many medicine plants, we do have a lot of that in southern oklahoma and fish. I am abidextrous so I can cast with either hand. Open faced real, no girly stuff for me! Indian perfume I found out is 'bee balm' or horse mint. I did harvest that and some wile lavender and sage from very clean land so that will be put to good use. Is anyone here in Wyoming? If so, I lived in Thermopolis, great little town and if you went down the river, you would find wild asparagus and you could just snag a few and eat them right there raw. They are sooooooooo different than what we get in the store. Also, they have natural hot springs there. Does anyone know if this type of water would be good in a soap? The NA people would take their elderly there for their aches and let them sit in that hot water. I loved it. Those in Colorado, Manitou sooooooooooooo rocks. Natural carbonated water is there and you can get it for free. Made our own soda with canned juice with that stuff......... oh gawd. I moved to hell..............I'll never see a mountain blue bird again......that bird is so blue its as if a disney character just flies in front of you.......omg that was so amazing. okay, i'm going on and on. I tend to do that when company is coming and I dont know what time they will be here.....we travel 'ndn time' .......that means 'whenever we get there' LOL! evie

Guest guest
Burnham, IL. A VERY small blue-collar town right outside the southern border of the city of Chicago, and right on the border of Indiana. Not particularly exotic, like where some of you folks live LOL!
