Must smell gorgeous around there most of the time. My Tlingit cousin is a hunting and fishing guide in AK in the summertime. The rest of the time, he's here with his wife (my Upper Skagit cousin, Tsisqal) in Washington state. Andrine

Guest guest
Hillsdale, MI -- a very pretty little college town in south central Michigan (tristate area). I live near the arboretum, which is very beautiful and well-kept, with a surprisingly large variety of essential oil-producing trees. It's fun to get in touch with the actual living items you're involved with at your workbench. Rose
Guest guest
> > Those in Colorado, Manitou sooooooooooooo rocks. Natural carbonated water is there and you can get it for free. Made our own soda with canned juice with that stuff......... > I'll second that! We lived there for years, it was a great, funky, artsy and interesting place to be. I miss the spring waters, they were so delicious, sweet and smooth, not sharp like Perrier. I especially miss the one that was behind our house, it was high in natural lithium, a great mood-adjuster for " that time of the month " ! I love where we are now, but I do miss that weird little mountain town. -leavesofjoy / Micah www.al-kemi.com

The staghorn sumac is already turning (it always goes first) it's fiery crimson. Interestingly enough, the dominant colors in this area are orange and yellow. I've noticed the further north you go in Mich, the redder and brighter the trees get. I heard somewhere that it might have to do with average temperatures in a given area.
