AO and PA in Vets

I will see what I can find out from the authors as it is an important issue and should be easily tested using their paradigm and the VA records of AO exposure. Does anyone know if there is any way to test for residual AO? As I recall DDT hangs around for years in the body and with today's methods one might be able to detect very small amounts say in a fat biopsy with a needle.CE Grim MDOn Feb 2, 2012, at 6:23 AM, Francis Bill SUSPECTED PA wrote: Since this study is in our files VA study on PA.pdf I got this information from there. This study was designed to determine whether a computer database can be used to screen for patients with resistant hypertension who might have undiagnosed PA. The prevalence of PA in patients with resistant hypertension in our study was 21.2%. This is similar to the 10% to 20% reported by authors from previous studies. In order for the VA to link something to AO there it has to be showed there is a higher incident of the disease in us that have exposure to AO than those that are not. This study doesn't give any information on the Vets them selves. As it says other studies are showing that between 10 and 20% have PA. I think more studies would have to be done. But first the VA has to get better at DX PA. All VA must have about the same numbers that have PA. Not all VA even look for it Because it is to rare. > > > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > > > > >> >> > > > > > > > > > >> >> > > > > > > > > > >> >> >Using HTN medication also is causing diabetes and I had > > > > > > to start Metformin after about 10 years on HTN medication > > > > > > > > > >> >> > > > > > > > > > >> >> Did you see any studies on that or it's just your > > > > > > experience and intuition, Max? > > > > > > > > > >> >> > > > > > > > > > >> >> I am very curious because I always suspected that the > > > > > > large dosage different HTN medications caused my diabetes.
