Guest guest
If 100 mg. Inspra in the morning and an additional 100 mg. Inspra in the evening does not control my blood pressure should I try more Inspra? I am also taking 5 mg. of Norvasc (amlodipine) at night but my blood pressure is still not controlled. I have 2+ swelling in my ankles from the Norvasc. I am also using the DASH diet meticulously but it does not improve my blood pressure.I drink lots of water each day because I am thirsty all the time - especially after I urinate.Currently my blood pressure is about 150/100 but at times it is only 140/90 as verified by testing with 2 blood pressure monitors to verify the results. Please advise. Guest guest
My doctor wants me to take 200 mg Inspra in the AM and 200 mg Inspra in the PM. He said Inspra is a weak diuretic. The insurance company and the pharmacy are already questioning why I need more than 50 mg of Inspra per day because that is the FDA approved dose for congestive heart failure and it is an off label use for hyperaldosteronism.I cannot take Spironolactone (aldactone) and Midamor (amiloride) didn't do enough. My doctor says he might want me to try Midamor combined with Inspra s0 what do you think of that?Is there anyway I can do a home test for Potassium to see if my blood level has too much Potassium? > > > > > > > If 100 mg.
